Fall River Valley Golf & Country Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Fall River Mills, California, about 70 miles east of Redding.
Fall River Valley Golf & Country Club opened in 1980. The course was designed by Clark Glasson.
Located in a "High Desert" type climate and sitting at 3300 feet in elevation, playing this course is a treat. The course lays out over slightly rolling terrain, through pine and juniper forests and past shimmering lakes. Abundant wildlife, great views and a country atmosphere make this destination unique. The championship design features large bentgrass greens, multiple tee areas, and well manicured fairways with generous landing areas. It can play very long! If that's your game. However with yardages from 5600 to 7400 it's suitable for all skill levels.

The pace of play was slow, but this was to be expected since it was a holiday weekend. Normally, this would not be the case. I'm looking forward to playing the course mid-week later this month. The scenery is spectacular. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The one small thing that could be improved is if the snack bar had some energy bars or some such to take out on the course, instead of a few candy and granola bars. The course beats anything down the mountain in Redding.

We play this course serveral times a year and they have specials during the week that if you drive in from 50 miles away or more you get lunch or breakfast free. Closed during the winter cause its at snow level. Beautiful area and fantastic fishing near by. Vacation worthy as it is in a very rural area. Clint Eastwood has a ranch up there and I have seen him on the course once before.

No 1/2 cart price for single player. Cart charge of $30 even for a single rider was $8 more than the green fee. This is the most I have EVER paid for a single rider cart.
